The biggest bad against Superman has just landed a spot on CW’s Supergirl.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the infamous villain Lex Luthor has been confirmed to have landed a recurring role on the CW drama’s fourth season. Despite this announcement, it is unlikely Luthor will be revealed during the first half of the season, given that he will not be in the Arrowverse crossover episode.
Though Lex Luthor has yet to be cast, his appearance in the series has been expected for some time now. With the introduction of Luthor family characters such as his sister Lena and mother Lillian, the L-Corp presence has been significant in the drama throughout the years.
Supergirl executive producers said the following in a recent statement:
“We’re beyond excited to introduce iconic villain, Lex Luthor, to Supergirl and to weave him into our story this season,” said executive producers Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller in a statement. “We’ve talked about having Lex on the show since it’s inception and we’re excited to have him finally arrive. We can’t wait for him to shake things up in National City and watch him go toe to toe with not only Supergirl, but his sister Lena Luthor.”
