‘TITANS’ Could Have An LGBTQ Character Next Season

DC Universe’s breakout live-action series could be further diversifying its cast next season.

Launching with a diversified cast amid controversy, Titans  has proved itself to break molds within the first two episodes released. Comicbook.com has reported that the Titans executive producer Geoff Johns has spoken to TV Line about what is in store for the future of the series, teasing new characters for the next season. According to Johns:

“There’s one Titan that already is gay, that we’ve talked about bringing on — probably next season,” the producer continued.

It’s clear that Johns has a particular character in mind for the series, which Comicbook.com has pointed out by presenting the example of DC comics character “Bunker”, an openly gay superhero from Mexico who develops a connection to the Titans team by teaming up with his personal hero, Red Robin. Of course, this is all merely speculation and no new characters have been announced or confirmed for season 2. However, with such a rapid renewal of the series before it even premiered, it is almost certain that an expansion of the cast and story line will be underway very soon.

Who do you want to see represented in Titans? How are you liking the show so far? Are you even watching? Spill the DC tea with us over on @SuperBroMovies!
