Last night, during a special screening of Black Panther, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige answered a few quick questions. Many people are eagerly anticipating the Avengers 4 trailer, which Feige commented on. After that movie’s release, Marvel’s slate is unclear but may have possibly been revealed today as well. The third Guardians of the Galaxy is another question mark that he spoke of.
The quick answers given by Kevin Feige provided information on big topics for the MCU moving forward. Feige said that the Avengers 4 trailer would come “before the end of the year.” Long-time Marvel character Namor could still make an appearance, but the studio is deciding if at all and when is most appropriate to use him. Finally, Feige confirmed the recent murmurs that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is “on hold.”
So there’s some good news, some mysterious news, and some bad news all thrown into one day. Now, it’s reassuring to know we’ll get the Avengers 4 trailer by the end of the year. Guardians of the Galaxy 3 being on hold was inevitable, but it’s telling that much after Gunn was fired there still hasn’t been development on it. Perhaps Feige simply can’t divulge just yet so I guess we should just keep tight for now.
