Get ready Nintendo fans. One of the most beloved action-adventure video games is coming to life!
Following the Instagram tease by producer Adi Shankar that he was “working with an iconic Japanese gaming company to adapt one of their iconic video games series into a series,” The Wrap has reported that that iconic series is indeed ‘The Legends of Zelda.’
Shankar’s portfolio has grown in recent years with his work on ‘Castlevania,’ and ‘Lone Surviror’ and the idea of him taking the reins of one of the most popular and action-packed video game sagas is an exciting one.
Debuting on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1986, ‘The Legends of Zelda’ was created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka and, as a franchise, sold more than 80 million copies worldwide. It follow the adventure of Link who works and wanders to collect magical items and weapons to save the beautiful princess known as Zelda and conquer the evil wizard Ganon.
Nintendo has yet to confirm or deny The Wrap’s report but Shankar’s Instagram post does claim that an announcement will be made on November 16th so fans should keep their eyes peeled. Stay tuned for more.
