Marvel Studios appears to be reaching across the aisle for an upcoming Phase 4 film. According to That Hashtag Show, the studio has tapped Wonder Woman 1984 screenwriter David Callaham to pen the script for an upcoming movie.
Callaham has a varied filmography. He began his career by penning the script for 2005s Doom before moving onto working on The Expendables franchise alongside Sylvester Stallone. The 41-year old writer has also left his mark on the MCU, doing work on Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man script.
THS isn’t sure what property Callaham is working on, but they did rule out it being a series on Disney Play. With most of Phase 4 already having writers attached, that leaves the in-development Doctor Strange 2 or a yet to be announced movie as possibilities. THS also points out that Callaham could be writing the Dark Avengers script they reported on last month.
