Although it has been several months since Avengers: Infinity War was released on various home formats, there are still certain aspects about the movie that are being newly released. One particular example is concept art: it turns out that new concept art for the movie has been revealed which shows Steve Rogers/Captain America and Thor in alternate outfits. Most notably, Rogers can be seen wearing a suit similar to the one used by Nomad, an alternate persona that he uses in the comics.

In addition to Rogers wearing a Nomad suit, there are also images showing him in several variations to the suit he wore in the final film, with one variation featuring a red-and-gray stripe color scheme similar to one of the suits seen in the comics. Furthermore, there is an image of Rogers with darker-colored hair in a military-style suit.
As for Thor, his concept art sees him in several appearance variations such as a capeless version of the outfit featured in the final film, multiple iterations of the Stormbreaker axe, new suit designs that involve a bright gray color palette, and even one where he has gray hair. It is not clear what made the filmmakers decide to choose the final outfits for Captain America and Thor over the ones seen in the concept art, though one can suspect it is all down to their own preferences.
It would have been interesting to see Rogers in the Nomad suit, but it is likely that plot points would be brought in to explain the change in appearance and would clutter what is already a massive film with dozens of key characters. Therefore, it could be to the film’s benefit that the final suits are not exactly what we see in the concept art.
