Disney’s streaming service which was recently revealed to be named “Disney+” is not stopping anytime soon with starting original content for the streaming service which is set to launch sometime in 2019. Jon Favrea’s The Mandalorain recently found Gina Carana, a former MMA fighter joining the cast.
It is not known what her role in the series will be but The Mandalorain takes place between “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens”. Carano is known for her role in Deadpool and in Fast & Furious 6 as well as being a former Mixed Martial Artist.
It is go big or go home for Disney as Bryce Dallas Howard, Taika Waititi and of course Jon Favrea, are set to direct epsiodes of the series. There is not set premiere date but once the Disney Streaming Service is released in 2019, an announcement will surely be under the way.
