Taika Waititi To Direct Season Finale Of ‘THE MANDALORIAN’

John Favreau’s The Mandalorian is wrapping up production A new set video reveals Taika Waititi directing the final episode of John Favreau’s highly anticipated Star Wars series.

The video shows Waititi directing stormtroopers on the arid planet of Mandalore during the final days of filming. Waititi was already confirmed as a director on the series along with Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Deborah Chow, and Dave Filoni but it appears that Favreau has placed perhaps the most important episode of the series into great hands.

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
