Anticipation for the first-ever live action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, has been high ever since its announcement. Set after Return of the Jedi, the series will focus on a newly introduced Mandalorian played by Pedro Pascal. Very little is known about it other than a few location confirmations and behind the scenes photos. However, thanks to some plot details reported by Making Star Wars, we may now know what the show’s story could focus on.
A source trusted by Making Star Wars has revealed what the driving force of The Mandalorian could be.
I guess the Mandalorian encounters a baby on one of his missions that he is supposed to kill, but instead of that, he ends up saving it and a lot of the rest of the story revolves around their growing relationship and his efforts to keep the child safe and protected.
Based on this info, the Mandalorian is a bounty hunter with a difficult choice to make. The baby in question has been speculated to be the key to restoring Mandalore which would explain the main character’s reasons for protecting it.
This time frame also adds up that this mysterious baby could be present in the new trilogy. By that point, they would be around the age of Rey or Kylo Ren. Is this baby a current character in the sequels or could they be introduced in Episode IX?
By the looks of it, this could potentially have a Logan vibe, with a hardened killer protecting a young child in his journey from location to location, which sounds amazing. Fans can’t wait to see what Jon Favreau will bring to the Star Wars universe alongside his star-studded roster of directors.

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
