Now is a great time to be a fan of Captain Marvel as Marvel Studios is kicking into high gear with their promotion of the film. With a trailer released last Monday and toys and apparel announced this week it’s an exciting time. And now Marvel has upped the game and released an exclusive clip to an audience at the Captain Marvel panel during CCXP18.
With most footage shown at panels it was only a matter of time before a description of the scene hit the web. And if this scene is any indication it looks like Captain Marvel is going to be action packed.
At the beginning, we see Carol Danvers in a Skrull ship, trapped in a machine that is trying to collect information from her mind. She starts to have flashbacks from the time she was a US Army pilot. Suddenly, a Skrull says: “There’s something in her mind we’re looking for. We need do dig deeper”. Then, Carol fires up her hands with energy and bust out. Her fists are still covered in the metal from the machine, creating a sort of metal gloves. But she still manages to fight some Skrulls in the ship. Then, she fires up her hands with energy again, melting the metal around her hands, action that creates a small explosion, hitting the Skrulls and opening a hole on the ship’s hull. She puts her helmet on and searches for a safe spot. The scene ends with Carol stealing an escaping pod and getting away from the Skrull ship.
By the looks of it Carol Danvers is shaping up to be the badass hero we’re all hoping for. Hopefully the scene will eventually hit the web so we can all get a glimpse of the film’s action.
