DC’s ‘TITANS’: 3 Characters Who Should Join The Show

DC Universe launched their first original show last year with Titans and was met with a mostly positive reaction from both fans and critics. It was renewed for a second season right before the premiere, and as we previously reported, prep is already underway for the next season. With this in mind, I think it’s time we take a look at which DC characters should join the Titans roster.

3) Artemis Crock

Even though she isn’t a typical Teen Titans hero, Artemis Crock would make for a great addition to DC Universe’s Titans. We could see her start out as Artemis and eventually turn into the villain Tigress, adding a new baddie to the lacking rogues gallery the show currently has. She’s very efficient in combat and archery, making her a perfect fit in the already violent team. There is a lot of story potential here that could make Titans an all-time favorite superhero show that brings classic DC characters to life that otherwise would never make it to the big screen.

To add to that, DC Universe recently cast her mother Tigress and father Sportsmaster in the upcoming Stargirl series debuting this Fall. Artemis would tie into that show and build a connection to Titans.

2) Aqualad/Kaldur

Aqualad in the comics is normally known as Garth, and currently goes by the name Tempest. Although that version of the character is more in line with the source material, I want to see fan-favorite Kaldur’ahm (Kaldur) from Young Justice make his live-action debut. He is probably the version that most audiences are familiar with due to the very popular animated show that just got a new season on the DC Universe streaming service.  His leadership and combat skills would make him a fantastic addition to the team. His origins lay deep in Atlantis so even more mythology could be added the show and potentially set up a new storyline. The presence of another person of color would also add some diversity to the team which is always positive.

Perhaps not next season, but he could join once the main team is established in either Season 3 or 4.

1) Wally West/Kid Flash

Although an obvious choice, I really can not think of a better candidate to join the Titans team. He is a founding member of the team and an incredibly popular legacy character for DC. Every Titans team needs a speedster, and I think Wally West can get the job done. However, not in his prime as the main Flash, but instead as a young Kid Flash. This would allow for the viewers to enjoy his progression from sidekick to full-fledged hero. It would also mean that his powers aren’t fully developed and therefore be a more realistic choice when it comes to the special effects. If they put the same amount of care as the did with the Robin suit, I am sure they can pull off a comic accurate Kid Flash suit that would put the CW to shame.

Casting here would be extremely important and from what we’ve seen so far with Titans, they would likely nail whoever is perfect for the role. Doesn’t need to be a known actor, just someone that embodies all the characteristics of Wally West.
