We live in a world full of caped superheroes and an endless cavalcade of reboots and sequels. But one sequel almost existed to add a little diversity to the film landscape back in the mid-2000s. Tony Hawk has just revealed there was a plan for a Looney Tunes film entitled Skate Jam.
As the world anxiously waits for Space Jam 2 starring LeBron James, we can all live with the knowledge we almost had another “Jam.” Literally no other information is known about this film other than the tweet below.
It’s weird to think that this film would have existed if Looney Tunes Back in Action (originally titled Spy Jam) hadn’t bombed back in 2003. Truthfully, I find it funny Warner Bros. kept trying to make films with the title “S*** Jam.”
I’m no screenwriter but I imagine the Looney Tunes and Tony Hawk would’ve had to compete in some X-Games-style competition to save the world or Tony Hawks’ childhood skatepark. I can’t express how badly I want this in my life now that the idea has been thrown out there.
If you want a taste of nostalgia, take a look at the Space Jam 2 announcement or our Space Jam Badcast.
