‘CAPTAIN MARVEL’ Screenwriter Tapped As Showrunner For ‘The VISION AND SCARLET WITCH’

Fans have been clamoring for more and more news regarding the new shows coming to Disney+, the new streaming service from Disney that promises new original content set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as the Star Wars film canon.

With show a show based around Loki already confirmed, several other MCU characters are rumored to be getting their own series as well. Well,it looks like two of those characters just got closer to getting their series produced.

A few months ago, it was rumored that Vision and the Scarlet Witch would be getting a series based on their relationship and dynamic amidst the drama surrounding The Avengers. As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Jac Schaeffer, one of the prominent screenwriters for the next big screen adventure in the MCU Captain Marvel and the mind behind the script that has been penned for the still-in-production Black Widow film, has been tapped as a writer and the head showrunner of the upcoming series.

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are expected to reprise their roles as Wanda Maximoff and The Vision respectively.

This news means the powers-that-be at Marvel Studios has full confidence in Schaeffer to lead her own adventure after her work on Captain Marvel and Black Widow.Which spells good news for Marvel fans looking forward to the post-Avengers: Endgame MCU.
