We’ve known for quite some time now that the insanely popular video game series, Uncharted, would be getting the film treatment. Dan Trachtenberg, who gained popularity when he partook in the Cloverfield universe, has now been confirmed to be the man behind the camera for Uncharted.
Originally, Shawn Levy was attached to the project, which ended up not working out due to scheduling issues. This gave Sony the perfect opportunity to get Trachtenberg while they could. Uncharted is a massively successful video game series that follows the adventures of Nathan Drake, and his partner in crime, Sullivan. Fan favorite Tom Holland has been attached to the film for quite some time as well. The premise of the film will be more about his first encounter with Sullivan and how their relationship began!
This news is major based on the fact alone of how long they’ve been trying to get this project on its feet. The writers attached are Jonathan Rosenberg and Mark Walker who have already penned up a draft. As for a production date, there is no hints as to when it will begin. Due to Holland having to promote his upcoming film, Spider-Man: Far From Home, we probably won’t see any production start anytime soon.
