An iconic DC hero could be making their live-action debut in the coming years. According to Geeks WorldWide, Booster Gold could have a role in the Blue Bettle solo movie.
Late last year it was reported that a Blue Beetle movie was in development at Warner Bros. The film would focus on Jaime Reyes, making it the first superhero film with a Latino lead. Scarface writer Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer was tapped to pen the script. Since that original report, we’ve heard nothing about the project, at least until now.
If you’re unfamiliar with Booster Gold, he first appeared in Booster Gold #1 in 1986. He’s gone on to become a member of the Justice League and start a long-term friendship with the original Blue Bettle, Ted Kord. It’s unclear what kind of role Kord could play in the solo movie, although, it’s safe to assume he will appear in one way or another, especially if his best friend finds his way onto the screen.
Make sure to take this report with a grain of salt as Geeks WorldWide was unable to get the information corroborated.
