Transgender actor, Zach Barack, has been cast in a supporting role in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Barack is the first transgender actor to be cast in a major comic book movie.
The young actor can be seen in the teaser trailer that was released earlier this week during the stinger when the group of students is discussing Mysterio’s look. The casting of Barack will hopefully open the door for more acting opportunities in Hollywood for transgender actors and actresses.
Barack joins a cast that already includes Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, Numan Acar, J.B. Smoove, Oli Hill, Remy Hii, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Cobie Smulders, and Samuel L. Jackson.
