Another star has joined Denis Villeneuve‘s upcoming blockbuster. According to Variety, Oscar Isaac is set to play Duke Leto Atreides in Dune.
Atreides is the father of the film’s protagonist Paul Atreides, who is played by Call Me By Your Name star Timothée Chalamet.
Isaac joins a cast that already includes Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgard, and Charlotte Rampling. The Dune script, which is based on Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel, was written by Villeneuve, Eric Roth, and Jon Spaihts.
If you’re somehow unfamiliar with Isaac’s work, he made a name for himself by starring as the titular character in 2013s Inside Llewyn Davis. He’s gone on to appear in such films as Ex Machina and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
