In a surprising turn of events, even though Titans ended up being a shorter season than intended, Doom Patrol will break the streaming service mold and deliver a lengthy first season. DC Universe has confirmed to us that the upcoming series debuting this month will indeed be 15 episodes long.
The DC Universe app has now listed the total season, which will end on May 24th with the fifteenth and final episode. It was previously assumed the first season would be 13 episodes but it is now clear they plan to release more and possibly make up for Titans ending an episode or two too short. Doom Patrol will be the second live-action original series for the streaming service, with Swamp Thing releasing just after the season ends.
The review embargo lifts this Monday at 9am PST/12pm EST, and we will be dropping our review of the pilot right on time. The review for the second episode, in which Cyborg appears, will be released on the same day it drops on DC Universe.
