‘JUSTICE LEAGUE’ Cast Wants More Iconic Women Superheroes In The Sequel

The Justice League cast already have some epic characters in mind for the sequel, and they are all women. They mention some of the most iconic DC superheroes like Black Canary, Supergirl, and more.

In an interview with MTV International, the main cast of the upcoming DC film revealed who they think should join a Justice League sequel. They were specifically asked “if you can pick any character to join the Justice League for the sequel“, and Batman himself enthusiastically answered first with Black Canary. He then revealed that he wants more female team members, which prompted some of the cast to say their picks as well.

Henry Cavill (Superman) then said we would want Supergirl to join the sequel for, you know, obvious reasons. A lot of fans have wanted to see the Man of Steel’s cousin on the big screen for a while now so it may not be a stretch after all. Ray Fisher (Cyborg), expressed he wanted Zatanna to join, explaining that it would bring in a new dynamic in the team. If her character were to be introduced in the DC film universe, it would likely be in Justice League: Dark. But if that film doesn’t get made, I totally think there’s a chance she could join the main JL crew.

Ezra Miller (The Flash) mentioned that a Green Lantern corp member could join as well, a female one though. The first that comes to mind for me is Jessica Cruz, who currently shares her own comics with another Lantern called Simon Baz. They are relatively new to the universe, but I would love to see at least Cruz on the big screen someday. Momoa also briefly mentions that Mera could join too, something I think is a lot more likely than the rest of the picks since she will make her debut in this month’s film.

Justice League unites its way into theaters November 17, 2017.

Justice League – Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
