Marvel and Netflix’s Daredevil has become an enormous television success, drawing in millions of viewers and earning much praise from fans and critics across the board. With Matt Murdock’s fate still up in the air after last year’s The Defenders, fans are wildly anticipating any possible glimpse at Daredevil’s highly anticipated third season. Though there’s still no word on a trailer, we might finally have something interesting to speculate on.
The series’ current showrunner, Erik Oleson, has announced via Twitter that he’ll be making an appearance at this year’s Comic-Con. Now, while we still have very little info regarding a trailer or even a release date for the show’s third season, Oleson likely wouldn’t attend the event if he didn’t have anything to show off to eager fans. Oleson previously worked on the CW’s Arrow, so he’s no stranger to the comic book world. Could he just be going for fun? Sure, but it’s fair to entertain the idea of Oleson showing up with a surprise or two in store.
Season 3 of Daredevil is rumored to adapt Frank Miller’s popular Born Again storyline, which finds the Man Without Fear in a deadly face-off with his archenemy, the Kingpin, and losing almost everything dear to him in the process. Matt Murdock’s longtime foe Bullseye is likely set to make an appearance, and Vincent D’Onofrio will reprise his role as Wilson Fisk from seasons 1 and 2.
Daredevil stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson. Both seasons are currently available on Netflix.
