DC Comics’ Solstice May Appear On ‘TITANS’

Titans is set to release later this year, and the anticipation is heavy. Every few days it seems like there is a new character joining the show. Recently Wonder Girl was added to the roster of heroes. The casting call for our new hero makes everybody curious. In a recent exclusive, The Hashtag Show has revealed that we may be seeing Solstice on Titans.

Here’s the character breakdown:

MONICA SAINI]Female, early 20s-early 30s, East Indian. Has the mentality of a survivor and the scars along with it. Unsettled and a little unusual. Orphan. Limited dialogue in her first appearance. Must be familiar with Hindi. POSSIBLY RECURRING GUEST STAR.

Kiran Singh, aka Solstice, is an Indian superhero, with the ability to generate light energy that she can use to create constructs and blast enemies. She first appeared with the Teen Titans in 2010, created by writer J.T. Krul and artist Nicola Scott. The reason for the belief that Monica is Solstice is because the character breakdown mentions an orphan. Solstice’s first storyline involved her parents disappearing.

The addition of Solstice to Titans would add to the diversity of DCTV. There are characters of all types of nationalities, ethnicities, and sexualities on the DCTV shows. This is part of what makes the shows so relatable to a lot of people. Recently on Legends of Tomorrow, the first live-action Muslim hero Zari (Tala Ashe) was added to the show. Solstice would be the first live-action Indian hero to appear on television. We will soon see who Monica Saini is exactly later this year.
