A hot topic of debate surrounding DC Universe’s Titans has been the look and feel of the heroes’ costumes. On one hand, characters like Robin, Hawk, and Dove have costumes with great attention to detail and near movie quality. On the other hand, characters like Raven and Starfire have much “simpler” costumes that don’t resemble their comic book counterparts at all, at least not at this point in the series.

SBM revealed that Robin would be suiting up as Nightwing by the end of the first season, and we now have some more details, via our friends in the Titans Facebook group, on exactly what look he’ll be donning. We also have information on Wondergirl’s costume for when she makes her predicted debut later this season.

When Dick Grayson eventually takes on the mantle of Nightwing in Titans leaving his title as Robin behind, he will be suited up in a costume that very closely reflects his costume in the comics. It will be a very dark, almost black colored blue, and it will have the classic blue wing on the front. A costume this accurate is what was expected considering his current suit is ripped straight out of the comics with a gritty, real-world aesthetic.

A character that hasn’t had a lot of attention on the show as of yet is Wondergirl. Donna Troy is expected to make her debut later this season and will also be getting a comic accurate costume, although, it’s not the costume most new fans are accustomed to. Wondergirl will not have her Amazonian sword and shield as seen in the newer comics. This may upset some fans, but she will be equipped with her special lasso. Her costume will resemble the classic design and will be red with stars and feature high boots as well as bracelets similar to Wonder Woman.

Based on this description, Wondergirl’s costume could be made with the same care and attention to detail as Robin/ Nightwing’s suit, but it could very easily turn out the same way as Starfire’s costume. Hopefully, it’s the former.
