The future of the DC movies has been in a constant state of flux since the release of the controversial and poorly received Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. While 2017’s Wonder Woman was fantastic and widely regarded as a game-changer in the superhero film genre, most of the films released under the DCEU umbrella has been poorly received by fans and critics alike.
Last summer, it was announced that Jared Leto would be reprising his role of the Joker, which he debuted in 2016’s Suicide Squad, in his very own solo film, which Leto would produce and star in.
Now, it looks as if that film has been left in the dust in the wake of the new future for The Worlds of DC cinematic universe. According to a new, extensive report from Forbes, that Jared Leto-lead Joker solo film has been tossed to the wayside.
Jared Leto recently revealed that he has began filming his Marvel/Sony project Morbius in London.
