We are drawing closer and closer to the release of Marvel’s landmark film Avengers: Infinity War everyday. Thus far we know much about the film’s premise. The Avengers will team up with their new allies the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man to face off against the Mad Titan Thanos. With such a large cast list many have come to belive that one of the beloved characters will die in the film. And while this has been teased for quite some time now, the Russo Brothers, who are directing the film, have now confirmed who it may be.

According to Cinema Facts and a report from We Got This Covered, the Russos have teased that not all of Earth’s Mightiest heroes will make it to the end of Avengers 4, and have even given us a list of who it will be.

We can definitely rule out “possibly everyone” but besides that anyone of these characters are quite possible. James Gunn has already said that no Guardians are safe in Avengers: Infinity War so it could be Drax or Gamora. And given that Thanos needs the mind stone which is currently wedged in Vision’s head it could very well be him.

It is interesting that Thanos is also a choice at it would make sense for him to die since a new threat will come to bear in Phase 4. However, he could just end up retreating into space in the end of the film.

But the two choices which make the most sense are Captain America and Iron Man. These two have been a staple of the MCU since its creation and are fan favorite characters. Their deaths would truly leave an impact on the fans and would give the film the gravitas it needs. And we know that the original Avengers’ contracts end after Avengers 4 so if they choose not to renew them the film could easily be their last.
