While many had already assumed that Ryan Coogler, who directed the first Black Panther, would return to direct a sequel, it had yet to be confirmed. The Hollywood Reporter has now reported that Coogler will be returning and revealed when we should expect the project to go into production.

According to THR’s sources the plan is for Coogler to write the film next year with an eye to start production in either late 2019 or early 2020. However, until Marvel announces their official film slate for Phase 4 this date is still up in the air.

There is no news yet on what the film will include so we can only wait for further confirmation from Marvel. Until then though stay tuned to SuperBroMovies for any updates.
