Ever since the reveal that Jude Law would star in Marvel Studios Captain Marvel, everyone has been guessing who he could be playing. Immediatly fans assumed he would be plaing Carol Danvers’ mentor Captain Mar-Vell. But now thanks to the recent leak of the Captain Marvel Pop! Funkos we finally know if our theory was correct.

It appears that Jude Law will in fact not be playing Captain Mar-Vell, rather he is actually the villain Yon-Rogg. Yon-Rogg was a classic villain of Carol Danvers’ Captain Marvel and was even responsible for turning her into Ms. Marvel. It is interesting to see how his role will be adapted for the film and if he plays a role in the theatrical version of Carol Danvers gaining her powers.

But this is not the only major reveal from this leak. The recently leaked Pop! Funkos also gave us our first look at Carol’s pet cast Goose and a better look at her Kree and red and blue suits. Along with this, it may have just confirmed a major theory about Carol Danvers in the film. After the release of the first trailer, it seemed that Carol may have lost her memory of her human life and was unaware of who she really is. Well, it seems this is correct because on all of the boxes containing Danvers in her Kree uniform she is referred to as Vers. This could mean that while with the Kree Carol has taken on a whole new identity.

These reveals are very exciting as Marvel fans have been waiting for any news about the studio’s upcoming films for quite some time. Hopefully, we will get a little more news and leaks in the coming weeks so stay tuned to SuperBroMovies for more.
