What a twisted web in which we find ourselves entangled.

Captain Cold is back and has manipulated Mick into the trap of the Legion of Doom. J.R.R Tolkien is a new DC superhero, and Amaya is realizing her decision to time travel will has lasting effects in the future, for her ancestors, at least.

One thing this show has taught us is that family always come first. Now, that doesn’t include dead, past, or pretend family.. That includes the here and the now. The present on-board the Waverider. These guys have spent an insanely long (because honestly who knows?) amount of time together and they feel drawn to one another.

Let’s be real, they’ve fought aliens with the Green Arrow, punched nazis, and now they are looking for the blood of Jesus Christ all while together, assembled as a unit. That screams “WE’VE BONDED” as loud as possible.

As always our female heroes are the ones to steal the show. Sara has been the heart and soul of this team, even during rough times.

Okay.

Mick is having second thoughts about his allegiance.

As I previously mentioned, Captain Cold has been the thorn in the side of our Heatwave since the get-go of the second season. His cameo during last week’s episode of “The Flash” was just the precursor for his past version rearing his ugly head. As this version fought Barry? Helped Barry? Sacrificed himself to save the team? It’s all revealed when he sides with the Legion.

And convinces Mick to come along for the ride.

Legends continues to build and grow the relationships between characters we normally didn’t care about. Every single player has a role and they play it extremely well. the fun J.R.R. Tolkien references were fun as well.

SPOILER ALERT:

The Legion of Doom have acquired the Spear of Destiny and everything is ruined.
