Leaked ‘SHAZAM!’ Funko Pops Reveal First Look At THE MARVEL FAMILY

We are just a few months away from the release of The Worlds of DC’s next installment Shazam! and fans are starting to look forward to the more fun-loving side of the DC Universe, which tends to veer more in the darker direction. The Zachary Levi-starring film will feature a few heartwarming moments and a little bit of magic and mysticism with a whole lot of sophomoric humor due to the child-like nature of Billy Batson’s origin.

Recently, it was revealed via some promotional material that The Marvel Family would appear in the film. For those unaware, in the pages of DC Comics this group of heroes consists of Billy and his five foster siblings, with whom he shares his powers. In current continuity, the Shazam Family comprises the superpowered alter egos of Billy Batson (teenaged alter-ego of Shazam/Captain Marvel) and his foster siblings: Mary Bromfield (formerly Mary Marvel), Freddy Freeman (formerly Captain Marvel Jr.), Darla Dudley, Pedro Peña, and Eugene Choi.

Due to some leaked images of the Funko’s POP series based on the film, we now have our first look at what Eugene and Darla’s suits will look like after uttering that powerful phrase “SHAZAM!”

Take a look at the tweet below, provided by @DoYouEvenComic:

This follows the release of the Funko POP of Shazam himself which was released by Zachary Levi himself earlier this week on Instagram.

What do you think the role of characters like Eugene and Darla will play in the film? Are they on their way to building a fun DC franchise where the kids are the heroes? Let us know what you think @superbromovies and in the comments below. – Christian Hubbard

SHAZAM! will blast into theaters on April 5, 2019.

Billy Batson is a streetwise 14-year-old who can magically transform into the adult superhero Shazam simply by shouting out one word. His newfound powers soon get put to the test when he squares off against the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.
