Rockstar has officially introduced eight GTA 6 characters so far: the two playable leads, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, plus Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, the rap duo Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. Every one of them has a profile on Rockstar’s GTA 6 site, most showed up around Trailer 2, and a few got real screen time in August’s Extended Look. The game is out Nov 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Here’s who everyone is, where you’ve seen them, and what’s still under wraps.
Quick ground rule: everything below comes from Rockstar’s own character pages and videos, plus reporting from established outlets. All the GTA 6 characters Rockstar has confirmed
Rockstar rolled out the character profiles on May 6, 2025, the same day as Trailer 2, as Game Informer and VGC reported at the time. Game Informer counted nine characters, because Real Dimez is two people. Here’s the cheat sheet:

Jason Duval
Rockstar’s one-line pitch for Jason is that he “wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder,” and honestly, same. His bio says he grew up around grifters and crooks, tried to straighten out in the Army, and ended up in the Keys doing what he knows: working for local drug runners. He’s living rent-free at one of Brian’s properties in exchange for helping with shakedowns.
The interesting bit is that Rockstar frames Jason around Lucia. Meeting her “could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him.” That’s a very different starting point from GTA 5’s Michael, Franklin and Trevor, three guys whose stories just kind of collided.
Lucia Caminos
Lucia is the first woman to lead a mainline GTA since the series went 3D, and she opened the whole campaign: Trailer 1 starts with her in prison. Her page says her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk, that fighting for her family is what landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary, and that “sheer luck” got her out.
Two details jump out. First, she and her mom came from Liberty City, which quietly ties GTA 6 back to GTA 4’s world. Second, Rockstar keeps stressing that she’s done with half-baked plans: “only smart moves from here.” We’ll see how long that lasts in a GTA game.
In the Extended Look, the two work as a real unit. GamesRadar’s live coverage walks through Jason and Lucia covering each other in a shootout, splitting up for jobs and staying in touch by phone, and switching between characters GTA 5-style.
Cal Hampton
Every GTA needs a lovable weirdo, and Cal is ours. Rockstar describes him as “at the low tide of America and happy there”: he’d rather stay home with a few beers, snooping on Coast Guard radio with some private browser tabs open. His page also says he’s a fellow associate of Brian’s, and that his friend Jason “has bigger plans.” Translation: Cal’s the guy who knows when the boats are coming. Game Informer noted he’s one of the characters heard speaking in Trailer 2.
Boobie Ike and Dre’Quan Priest
These two are a package deal. Boobie Ike is a Vice City legend who turned his street years into a legit empire (real estate, a strip club and a recording studio) and is “all smiles until it’s time to talk business.” What he cares about most is Only Raw Records, his label with Dre’Quan Priest. Rockstar’s line on how it all gets paid for is very GTA: the club funds the studio, and the drug money pays for it all.
Dre’Quan was always more hustler than gangster, and music was the goal even when he was dealing to get by. Now that he’s signed Real Dimez, his days booking acts into Boobie’s club might be numbered. Boobie is also the first face of the Extended Look: it opens with Jason and Lucia on a pickup job for him that goes very wrong, per GamesRadar.
Real Dimez
Bae-Luxe and Roxy have been friends since high school and, per Rockstar, turned shaking down local dealers into cash “via spicy rap tracks and a relentless social media presence.” They had an early hit with a local rapper called DWNPLY, then spent five years in “a whole lot of trouble.” Now they’re on Only Raw and hoping lightning strikes twice. Raul Bautista
“Confidence, charm, and cunning” is how Rockstar sums up Raul, a veteran bank robber always looking for people willing to take big risks. The catch: his “recklessness raises the stakes with every score,” and his crew will eventually have to double down or cash out. The Extended Look shows Jason and Lucia on a getaway job with him in the car, where he gives Lucia a pep talk about going pro, according to GamesRadar. If GTA 6 has a big-heist storyline, our money’s on Raul being the door into it.
Brian Heder (and Lori)
Brian is “a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys.” He still moves product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori, and he’s been around long enough to let other people do his dirty work. That’s where Jason comes in. In the Extended Look, Jason and Lucia go to a rooftop party at Brian’s, where he hands them a job that has to happen that night and dangles bigger things for Jason, per GamesRadar’s live blog.
Lori doesn’t have her own profile yet, but she’s named on Brian’s page, along with her sangria.
Other faces from the Extended Look
The half-hour Extended Look added a few smaller characters without official profiles. GamesRadar spotted a character called San4San meeting Jason and Lucia at the start of the video, and the showcase also has the pair working as bodyguards for a party-loving client at a corporate event. Rockstar hasn’t published bios for any of them, so we’re not going to guess how big their roles are.
Who voices Jason and Lucia?
Officially, nobody knows. Rockstar hasn’t announced a single voice or performance-capture actor for GTA 6.
- Confirmed by the actor: Stephen Root. The King of the Hill and Barry actor told the Associated Press, “Yeah, you’re gonna see me in there,” and said fans had recognized his voice from an earlier trailer. Variety reports he plays Brian Heder. Rockstar itself hasn’t confirmed it.
- Not confirmed: everyone else. Fans have pinned Manni L. Perez as Lucia, Dylan Rourke as Jason and Bobby Moynihan as Cal, and some of those names are already on IMDb. SVG points out that IMDb is user-edited and none of them has been confirmed by Rockstar. Treat them as fan guesses.
- Reported: an NDA until launch. According to the GTAVIoclock podcast, via Insider Gaming and GamesRadar, Rockstar reminded the cast that they can’t announce their involvement until Nov 19. Rockstar hasn’t commented.
Let’s be real: what’s bugging us about the GTA 6 cast
We love this lineup on paper. A couple things still bother us, though:
- The actors are a state secret. Rockstar has built its whole campaign on these performances: close-ups, cutscenes, a Netflix premiere. Yet the people giving those performances reportedly can’t even say they’re in the game until launch day. Stephen Root ended up confirming his own part in a press interview. Protecting the story is fair enough, but keeping the credits hidden until release means the actors don’t get credit while their work is doing the selling.
- The official roster hasn’t grown in 16 months. The same eight profiles from May 2025 are still the only ones on the site. The Extended Look clearly has more named characters in it, and fans are left to pull names from a live blog. For a game this close to launch, that’s a thin cast list.
- The main plot is still one sentence. Rockstar’s story pitch is that “an easy score goes wrong” and drops Jason and Lucia into a conspiracy across Leonida. Two trailers and a half-hour showcase later, we know a lot more about their apartment than about who’s behind that conspiracy. Keeping it mysterious is smart, sure, but it’s hard to get invested in villains we haven’t met.
- The social media satire could age fast. Real Dimez’s whole thing is a “relentless social media presence,” and the Extended Look has a kidnapping that gets livestreamed. GTA has always roasted pop culture, but influencer jokes are low-hanging fruit in 2026. We’re hoping Rockstar finds something sharper to say than “phones, am I right?”
To be fair, the bios are genuinely good. In a couple of sentences each, Rockstar sketches a messy little ecosystem (Brian needs Jason, Jason needs money, Boobie needs a hit, Dre’Quan needs out) that already feels more connected than GTA 5’s cast did. And Lucia having real history (a fighter’s upbringing, prison, a mom with Liberty City dreams) before the game even starts is a great sign.
