Although the review embargo for the film hasn’t been lifted yet, social media reactions to the upcoming animated film Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse are saying it is the best this year has to offer.In a year filled with amazing films and milestones like Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War it is surprising to say the least that an animated comic book film would be able to stand on it’s own and be seen as the best film of the year, but that is exactly what these social media reactions are suggesting.

The film already had hype surrounding it before release due to it’s cutting edge animation style and creative talent behind it, with Phil Lord and Chris Miller having a hand in production and receiving executive producer credit. The big screen debut of Miles Morales Spider-Man also being the reason for a lot of fans excitement for the project. The animation is not the only selling point of the film, as the story is also getting praise from the likes of users on twitter.

Overall, it seems that Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse delivers on all fronts, with an engaging story, a faithful portrayal of Miles Morales, and beautiful animation to top it all off.
