RUMOR: ROCKET & GROOT Series In The Works For Disney+

Our favorite space duo could be heading to the small screen. A new rumor claims that a Rocket and Groot series is being developed for the Disney+ streaming service.

According to That Hashtag Show, a show focused on the Guardians of the Galaxy characters may be in the works. The report stresses that this is only a rumor and should be reported as such.

If this show does happen, it would be the fourth Marvel-centric show announced for the streaming service. A Loki series, starring Tom Hiddleston, was confirmed by Bob Iger, while the Scarlet Witch and Bucky/Falcon series have been reported by the major trades.

Rocket and Groot were, of course, introduced in 2014s Guardians of the Galaxy, voiced by Bradley Cooper and Vin Deisel respectively. They’ve appeared in two movies since then and are set to return in next years Avengers 4. With the status of GOTG Vol. 3 still unknown, Kevin Feige and co. may be looking to continue to capitalize on two of their most popular characters without the controversy that currently surrounds the franchise.
