New ‘CAPTAIN MARVEL’ Tie-In Book Teases The Return Of (SPOILER)

With the release of Marvel Studio’s Captain Marvel drawing ever closer promotion for the film is jumping into high gear. Not only was the trailer released last night but today a number of tie-in products have been released. A number of toys, clothes and more were dropped giving us some new looks at the characters. But one of the fairly interesting new releases came in the form of a tie-in book that could tease the return of a fan favorite group from the Marvel universe.

It was revealed a new tie-in book for young readers would be released that would take place before the events of the movie. What makes this book interesting is that on the cover of the book a familiar group of Marvel characters is featured, the Nova Corps.

As you can see members of the Nova Corps can be seen chasing Captain Marvel and Jude Law’s character. This is partly interesting in that both the Kree and Nova Corps are seen as the good guys so why they would be in conflict is a mystery. But its also intriguing because we haven’t seen the Nova Corps since Guardians of the Galaxy. In fact, their state in the present day MCU is unknown considering Thanos decimated their homeworld of Xandar in Avengers: Infinity War. So even though the book will take place before Captain Marvel it could suggest we may see a return of the Nova Corps to the present day MCU’s status quo.
