This appears to be a drastic change from what we saw in Suicide Squad. While many fans expected a more comic accurate appearance for the new film, it seems the filmmakers have gone in a different, more original direction. Although considering the catalyst for Birds of Prey is her ending her toxic relationship with the Joker, it makes sense that she would want to go in a completely new direction with her appearance.

Some other things to note is that her hair is much shorter and no longer dyed blue and red, and her dog tag necklace has the name “Bruce” on it. Does she know Batman’s true identity? While this new look may not live up to fan’s expectations, it is worth noting that we could see Harley Quinn in several different outfits throughout the runtime of the film.
