The Marvel Cinematic Universe is vast and there isn’t enough time for all of our favorite characters to share screen-time. So to fix that problem, I have chosen five character interactions I would like to see when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters.
5. Red Skull and Captain America
The Russo Brothers have confirmed that once the Soul Stone was acquired by Thanos, Red Skull is free to leave Vormir and pursue his dreams. What would be interesting is Red Skull returning to Earth to once again face-off with Steve Rogers. I’d love to see Captain America’s emotions when he sees his arch-nemesis once following the tragic events of Avengers: Infinity War.
4. Rocket Raccoon and Goose
As we know, Captain Marvel is going to join the fight against Thanos in Avengers; Endgame. With Carol Danvers making her return to Earth, we can hope she brings her pet Flerken, Goose, along as well. In the comics, Rocket has had a complicated relationship with Flerkens, he’s even tried to kill a few. So what would the meeting between Rocket and Goose look like? Fun is a word that would best describe it.
3. Thanos and Hela
In the MCU, the only embodiment of death is represented by Cate Blanchett’s Hela. If you’re familiar with the comics, Thanos is in love with Death and would do anything to please her. At this point, it’s clear that Infinity War strayed away from that storyline in favor of a more realistic interpretation of Thanos, but it would still be interesting the two characters interact.
2. Doctor Stephen Strange and Wanda Maximoff
During the events of Infinity War, we see Strange speaking to Tony about his work being protecting his reality. Well, one thing that we know about Scarlet Witch is she can alter reality and there have been many occasions in comics where Strange had to fight Wanda. To be honest, Wanda can do a lot of what Thanos did without the help of an Infinity Stone. Kevin Feige in an interview said, “Her powers, she’s never had any training, I’m talking about Scarlet Witch. She never had any training; she’s figuring it out. Arguably, you could say that that’s why her powers are much more chaotic and much more loose in the way that we showcased those light effects…”
Is it possible that following Vision’s death, Wando goes insane and attempts to alter reality? It seems likes a tall order but a fight between Scarlet Witch and The Sorcerer Supreme would be entertaining, to say the least.
1. An Earthling and Rhomann Dey
Rhomann Dey was introduced in The Guardians of the Galaxy, played by John C. Reilly. In the comics, Rhomann Dey is the one who passes his power to a teenager named Richard Ryder, aka Nova. What if before Xandar was decimated, Dey gave abilities to an earthling allowing him to become the MCU’s Nova. That storyline could bring an interesting wrinkle to an already jampacked movie.
Which characters do you hope to see interact in Avengers: Endgame? Let us know in the comments below!
Avengers: Endgame will release in theaters on April 26, 2019.
A culmination of 22 interconnected films, the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.
