After previously being cast as “Steve” in August, actor Wilson Bethel has been confirmed to be playing fan-favorite character Bullseye in the upcoming season of Daredevil. An exclusive to The Hashtag Show has confirmed Bethel’s true character.
Bullseye’s first comic appearance was in Daredevil #131 back in 1976. Not much is known about this mysterious assassin whose real identity remains a secret. He has no superhuman abilities but can turn any household object into a lethal projectile with deadly accuracy.
“Steve” was initially described as “an awkward FBI agent that needed the structure of the bureau to keep the darkness inside him subdued.” This description alone excites me and leaves plenty of room for growth for the character this season. We probably won’t get the Bullseye we know until the final few episodes of the season.
Daredevil fans have been clamoring for this elite marksman ever since the show was announced in April 2013. The only other on-screen adaptation was Colin Farrell in 2003’s Daredevil which left much to be desired from fans. Here’s to hoping Bethel’s iteration is more comic accurate than this.
