Expect some more big surprises when Avengers 4 hits theaters next May. Comic book icon Jim Starlin revealed that we should expect more of his creations on the big screen when the next Avengers film releases.
During a Q&A at Puerto Rico Comic Con, attended by SBM, Starlin was asked about the upcoming Avengers 4. He told the audience that he knows a lot about the movie, even mentioning that he had visited the set, but would only tease one thing. Starlin revealed that he would receive more credits for Avengers 4 than he did for Avengers: Infinity War.
Starlin is, of course, the co-creator of the Mad Titan himself, Thanos. The character first appeared in The Invincible Iron Man #55 in February 1973, which was also the first appearance of Drax the Destroyer who Starlin also co-created. He went on to create vast more Marvel characters which included Gamora who debuted in 1975.
The comic book legend received credits for all three of the characters in Avengers: Infinity War where they all played key roles. Starlin mentioning that he will be getting more credits likely is him teasing the introduction of one or more characters he had a hand in creating in Avengers 4.
A likely candidate could be A’lars, the father of Thanos. He was name-dropped in Infinity War and knowing Marvel that wasn’t something to be glossed over. Another option is Death who was thought may appear in Infinity War. She has strong ties to Thanos in the comics, however, it would seem a bit outlandish to not have introduced her previously only to have her appear in Avengers 4.
