Dominic Monaghan Reunites With J.J. Abrams As He Joins Cast Of ‘STAR WARS: EPISODE IX’

Dominic Monaghan has officially signed on to play a role in the last segment of the Skywalker Saga. Getting his start in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, he would gain even more popularity when he joined J.J. Abrams’ show, Lost. Little did the know that they would relate in one of the biggest franchises known to man.

J.J. Abrams got his first taste of Star Wars after helming Star Wars: The Force Awakens back in 2015. Not returning for the following  Star Wars: The Last Jedi, many thought Lucasfilm would go with three different directors. That was, until they announced that J.J. Abrams would come back to direct Star Wars: Episode IX. With this, as well as the recent casting news, it seems that a small reunion is in order on set.

Monaghan has expressed his interest prior to this by wishing to join The Force Awakens, and now his wishes have seem to come to fruition. He said himself:

The galaxy far far away has had almost as much influence as the one I live in, so I am delighted to be involved

Monaghan is great at his craft and it’s really exciting knowing that he’ll have a role in the next Star Wars film. As far as what the role is, no information regarding that has been released. We’ll just have to wait and see, but you can count on us to get that information to you as soon as possible. What are your thoughts on Monaghan joining Star Wars: Episode IX? 1. Nothing with Dominic Managhan appeals to me.
Everytime I see him I immediately think of someone scrawny with “little man syndrome” who’s trying to pump himself up and be a bad-ass. It just doesn’t work. “NEXT!”
